The Hawkley Inn is an established real ale pub that has been offering a wealth of local and regional beers for well over four decades. They are kept in just the right conditions in our basement cellar and lovingly cared for by our dedicated beer wench, and watched over by Charlie, a former landlord of The Hawkley Inn, and our resident ghost!
We currently champion a plethora of local micro-breweries – Red Cat, Triple F, Bowmans, Langhams, Ballards, Flowerpots, Flack Manor and Vibrant Forest to name just a few – all who are based in Hampshire and west Sussex, and all whose ale is loved by both our local customers and visitors alike; indeed many come from miles around to sample the wares and who are we to argue?
Currently we are able to offer seven hand pumps, three of which are house staples – Doombar (not local but available by popular demand!), Hophead and Summer Lightning – and the other four are changed after every barrel.
The Hawkley Inn was awarded the prestigious title of the ‘Jim Fox Pub of the Year 2008’ by the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire division of CAMRA.
