About us

The Hawkley Inn is located in the lovely, picturesque village of Hawkley, Hampshire – some three and a half miles north of Petersfeld – this jewel of a pub nestles in an area of outstanding natural beauty.

Our pub attracts walkers, cyclists, horse riders, back packers and all kinds of outdoorsy types, who are drawn to the beautiful views of its South Downs National Park location, its selection of seven real ales, and its fresh, locally sourced seasonal menu. At The Hawkley Inn we offer both casual and fine dining as well as bed & breakfast accommodation three and a half miles north of Petersfeld and half an hour from Goodwood.

Zoe and staff extend the warmest of welcomes and you are assured of the best of times – whether you are one of the Hawkley locals popping in for a pint before dinner, or kicking of your wellies after a long walk with the dog and enjoying a spot of lunch. You may wish to celebrate in style with something special for your loved ones, partaking in a three course dinner to die for! If you don’t relish the thought of a taxi ride home, then there is always the option to stay in one of our six, newly decorated bedrooms and waking up to a full English breakfast cooked any way you choose.

In the winter, game from local shoots are sourced by the pub with 95% of our menu being homemade and in house butchery. In the warmer summer months we turn our hands to fresh seafood and stunning summer wines to pair. We pride ourselves in our fresh and locally sourced seasonal menu. We really are a “foodie” pub with character!

Whatever your pleasure, our staff are dedicated to making your visit to The Hawkley Inn a warm and memorable experience that you will wish to repeat time and time again.

We are a dog friendly pub so you are more than welcome to bring your furry friends along with you as well.
